Bl3 advertised mayhem, so let there be a bunch of good guns for everyone to use instead of nerfing the good ones.īl3 is by no means a bad game though. Bl2, as much as it was a good game, had terrible scaling (the pot o' gold shield in UVHM for example). Who used the thunderball fists or cradle. Everyone had a grog nozzle, unkempt harold, bee, sham, topneas, norfleet, sandhawk, etc. In Bl2 how much diversity was there in endgame. Instead they should try to buff the weaker guns to even the playing field. Nerfing character's skills is not a good way to balance a game. And I'm not a huge fan of the way that they nerf guns and characters. It sucked going through Eden 6 and all of a sudden have zero accuracy and no aiming stablity because I happened to kill a bandit that was possessed. I did the mission once in like 30 minutes and got no good reward.

The Halloween update for example ruined gameplay.

Bl2 had years of development and growing, but Gearbox is not making the best changes to the game. In a short time from release, they gave us a raid boss and the Moxxi dlc. I will admit that I can't fully judge Bl3 without waiting until it is done releasing content. I don't like having to fight off 20 tinks slowly coming at me why I reload my gun and then one-shot them. Going through a place like the Guts of Carnivora is annoying because of all same old enemies that aren't too strong. In Bl2 going through Bloodshot Stronghold was slow, but it was intense and fast-paced. I get a weird feeling when fighting through places because it feels smoother but at the same time feels slower. There's a lot more diversity in guns and playstyles, but even though the gunplay is kind of fun, it seems so tedious. It took a while to get used to climbing and sliding but it was petty fun. However, I do like the environments and mechanics that Borderlands 3 has to offer. Farming is much easier in the normal playthrough and there is more of a challenge.

TVHM in Bl3 is just the normal playthrough but at level 50 with more annoying annointed enemies. Why would I want to restart my game half a dozen times just so I can use the guns that I want. The only good "missions" were the crew challenges because I like games where I am rewarded for exploring the map and finding hidden details.Īnd I really dislike mayhem levels. In Bl2 you had great quest lines like clan wars, the one in Lynchwood, and cult following. What I mean is that they really don't tie into the main story like a lot of Bl2's ones did. The ones that you do get make no sense and are very choppy. The amount of side missions was really abysmal, especially considering how long the story is and how many places there are. They butchered Rhys' character by turning him into a wimp who is only good for bad comic relief and Lilith's sendoff was awful. In Bl3, Maya's situation actually pissed me off more than playing Overwatch, there wasn't enough from old characters (Tina, Brick, Mordecai, Marcus, Zed, etc.), Ava was the worst written character I've ever seen in a borderlands game, and the villains were the evil versions of Jake and Logan Paul. I find the story aspect way better in Bl2 than Bl3. I personally like Bl2 a lot more than Bl3. I really love to read such posts and I‘m looking forward to your opinions! Borderlands 2 had also more fun and memorable sequences (Meeting the slap king and fighting with Brick against Hyperion rescuing Roland.) (I‘m looking at you Enforcer)Įven though Borderlands 3 makes the shooting (which is 90% of the game) much more fun, I feel that as a overall package that Borderlands 2 was the game, which was more fun personally. Not because they were hard or complicated to kill but sometimes they just slow down the gameplay a bit too much for such a fast paced game. I have the feeling, that in Borderlands 3, I had far more often the feeling „ugh, not this enemy again.“ and just really hated certain enemies. The quality of life adjustment like ledge grabbing and sliding make the game more smooth.īut something truly feels of. Also The weapons just look and feel more awesome than in Borderlands 2. The shooting is far more refined and more satisfying than in Borderlands 2. It is a darn good game which is just balls to the wall fun to play. Just finished Borderlands 3 and not gonna lie. What is your opinion on which game is better?
